having gone through orientation twice, it really brings back a lot of memories going through the 3rd time in pjc. the 1st time, a stranger to the school..trying to familarise myself with the new surroundings. then the 2nd time, being in O2 as an ogl, trying to help others to fit into the sch..to know the sch. the last time, in O1 06 as a councillor, as a clan master, as a senior to j1s. this time my job was to plan, help my ogls, and try to interact with the jc1s.
the island of pionnerock. the theme for this year orientation. i hope we have met our objectives for the orientation, which was to bond the jc1s as a whole, with pioneer spirit in their hearts.
the 5-days orientation was pretty hectic. it amounts to lotsa work, stress, fun and 'saikang'. i won't go into the details on what happened,..i can't rmb for one and two, i'm too tired.
day 1 of orientation was a success. the mass games held was good. the atmosphere was good considering the fact that it was day1 only. my clan ppl stayed back to practise our clan performance..good job ppl! haha. the start of my horror. the money collection and the orientation package.
day 2 of orientation. it was pretty good too. my clan ogls started to teach their ogs the cheers we have. INYO! YOYO WAT'S UP! haha. the day proceeds on. back to orientation package at night. a total horror and outta control situation in com lab 1. i believe john has the evidence. haha.
day 3 of orientation. clan performance! haha..i think my clan did a great job and so did the rest=). station games was okay..stupid rain which spoilt our original plans. but still good job done for quin!=) giving out of orientation packages. so much unhappiness and the running around to settle the probs. blah.
day 4 of orientation. settling of orientation package probs. treasure hunt. parents' conference=duties for council. it was hectic. 2 dumbos had a hard time outside and so did 3PG ushering inside. chaotic. almost fell down a few times. couldn't sit down throughout that 3 plus conference..poor us. we got bored and decided to entertain ourselves by taking pics with hp. haha. 3pg rawks!=)
day 5 of orientation. finale. it was great. my clan ppl, the performers and mascots did a great job! thanxz to chris for being enthu and even made costumes for the performance=). finally a chance to eat with my clan ppl..but that was after the saikang finished. blah.
to my clan ppl, inyo- u guys have been a great bunch of ppl to work with! i seriously thank u for ur hard work and i really appreciate all the efforts u have put in into orientation=). i'm sorry that i was constantly not around to help u guys, and always making u guys wait in vain to go for dinner as a clan. yupp. still i hope u had fun through orientation, made good friends with the inyo ogls and also start a new bond with ur juniors, ur og ppl=). well, orientation may have ended, but the bonds we have will not break. now, it is the time to work hard, study hard and catch up watever we may have miss out during orientation ppl! jiayou!=)
